This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Sweetwater Lake from Orangeburg, you won't be the only one, and don't forget to take a delightful little spree to Falls Branch. A good deal of rainfall falls at Sweetwater Lake; July is when you get the most rain here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. During the summer months at Sweetwater Lake highs are mostly in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 70's. High       temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Sweetwater Lake during the winter frequently plunge into the 30's. A splendid close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Orangeburg, Sc. There's so much to do here at Sweetwater Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sesquicentennial State Park is a good site for that. Sweetwater Lake in fact is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise.
