If you came for an overnight stay Capital City Campground is a glorious site to camp; of course, all our national parks are magnificent sites to stop by and Congaree Swamp National Monument is no exception. The high level of rain makes Sun View Lake a relatively wet place; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and November on the other hand is the driest. This       lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Candlewood Suites COLUMBIA-FT. JACKSON is a fine choice; if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Broad River. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Sun View Lake has it all. The good people of Columbia like to hang out close by, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Saluda River.
