Go to Sun View Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Saluda River; the nice people of Columbia like to hang out close by. Sun View Lake gets lots of water; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and November is when it's the driest. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Sun View Lake highs are commonly in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures

| | are in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's; during the dark hours in the winter at Sun View Lake temperatures descend to the 20's.
There are some great whitewater spots on Broad River, and lakes are such peaceful sites, why not visit Twin Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Sesquicentennial State Park; if you need a site to stay Candlewood Suites COLUMBIA-FT. JACKSON is a nice choice. You just ought to go for Sun View | |

Lake. Do stop at Lake Trotwood Dam if you're here at Sun View Lake; if you have time, Congaree Swamp National Monument is a national park worth stopping at.

JACKSON is a tremendous location to get some rest; why not camp at Capital City Campground if you're here at Sun View Lake. You'll stumble on a stunning lake called Old Heises Pond near Sun View Lake, and if you're here and you like golf, you can explore Sedgewood Country Club.
