    Sumter National Forest Lake is a lake worth visiting. You get a glorious sight of Boast Mountain from Sumter National Forest Lake, and Moody Spring is always fun to check out. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's nice hiking along the Foothills Trail; lakes are such serene locations, why not explore Lake Cherokee.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Burrel Place Campground; you're sure to come across
 
   some cheerful people from Seneca here. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is abundant here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sapphire Valley Resort is a perfect site to get some rest, and pretty scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Scaly Mountain. All through the summer months at Sumter National Forest Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's  
               with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Sumter National Forest Lake.
Sumter National Forest Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sumter National Forest Lake is a pretty wet place typically with a great deal of rain; most of the rain falls during March while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Visit Bee Creek since you're here at Sumter National Forest Lake, and after a long day outdoors Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a pleasant location to spend a night or two.
And that's not all you can do here at Sumter National Forest Lake. A tremendous location to camp here at Sumter National Forest Lake is Moody Spring Campground, and there are other sites here than Sumter National Forest Lake, for example Lake Cheohee. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Sumter National Forest Lake without first going for a hike along the Winding Stairs Trail; a delightful site for whitewater paddling is Chattooga River - East Fork.
