What a nice lake Sumter National Forest Lake is. A good deal of rain falls at Sumter National Forest Lake; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; the driest month is April. Camping at Moody Spring Campground is always a great experience; why not take a refreshing hike along the Foothills Trail. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Chattooga River - East Fork offers some brilliant whitewater,

Boast Mountain is a peak you can distinguish from Sumter National Forest Lake, and there's some flowing water nearby, Bee Creek is a stream you can stop by while you're here.
