    What a nice lake Sumter National Forest Lake is. A good deal of rain falls at Sumter National Forest Lake; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; the driest month is April. Camping at Moody Spring Campground is always a great experience; why not take a refreshing hike along the Foothills Trail. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Chattooga River - East Fork offers some brilliant whitewater,  
   and there are other locations here than Sumter National Forest Lake, for example Lake Cherokee.
This lake is so wonderful. Boast Mountain is a peak you can distinguish from Sumter National Forest Lake, and there's some flowing water nearby, Bee Creek is a stream you can stop by while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent spot to camp here at Sumter National Forest Lake is Burrel Place Campground, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Scaly
 
               Mountain.
A pleasant close by hotel is Sapphire Valley Resort, and you're sure to come across some good folks from Seneca here. Summer at Sumter National Forest Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, usually in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Sumter National Forest Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are really plentiful here at Sumter National Forest Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sumter National Forest Lake; Winding Stairs Trail is a magnificent local trail, and not far from Sumter National Forest Lake you'll locate Lake Cheohee which is a lovely lake.
Sumter National Forest Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Moody Spring is an inspiring place to stop by while here, and after a long day outdoors Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a good place to spend a night or two.
