A visit to Stewarts Pond is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. There's some exciting stuff to spot at Pelzer Mills Dam near Stewarts Pond; in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Saluda River. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Greenville I-85@Augusta Road is a fine place to spend a night or two. | | so much to do here at Stewarts Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Springwood RV Park is a great spot for that; a glorious nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Piedmont/Greenville Area.

Pond a pretty wet location; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not far from Stewarts Pond, you'll locate Big Creek Watershed One Reservoir
which is a stunning lake, and folks from Greenville love to come here.
If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Stewarts Pond. Whitewater paddling is good on Reedy River. Lakes are wonderful; Davis Pond is a lake that's close to Stewarts Pond.

This was a nice trip. Put in behind Riverside Tavern on Hwy124, went to Hwy86 in Piedmont. Only scratched the boats a couple times in the few small rapid areas. You will have to paddle about the last 4 or 5 miles due to the back water from the Piedmont dam. Trip took 5.5 hours at this time of the year with good flow in the river. I expected it to take much longer and paddled a bit every now and then. Some fallen trees but no problem going right thru them. Will defiantly go again for a relaxing day on the river. ... |

The Flowermill RV Park

we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.
...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |

We fish the lake and duck hunt the mouth of the river, and it is very shallow in the upper end of the lake. And drive with caution because of the debris coming out of the river, we've chipped 2 props and replaced a foot once, so just drive with caution....Please let me know the safety of the water at Boyds....Boyd's Mill Pond is a small beautiful pond. The lake is owned by NorthBrook Electric out of Chicago. Most of the boats on the lake belong to the lake residents because there is not public landings. Many residents enjoy water sports such as sking and riding in towables, cruising the lake and fishing. There are not boat restrictions. According to many publications, Boyd's Mill is a great lake to catch large mouth bass and catfish. The majority of the lake is not developed however there has been recent construction of many large homes. Many of the residents decorate their docks during the Christmas season. Overall, the lake is beautiful and very relaxing. Also, many people enjoy walking and fishing at the shoals at the bottom of the damn.... |
