Steppes Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Foothills Family Campground is a great local campground. Any time is a perfect time at Steppes Pond if you go for the outdoors. If you came to camp Cunningham RV Park is a pleasant location to do that; if you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Woodfin Ridge Golf Club. A great deal of rainfall falls at Steppes Pond; March is the wettest month with most rain,       and April is the month with the least moisture. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a delightful choice, and if you get bored of Steppes Pond you could also stop by nearby Lake Bowen. Steppes Pond is not the only place close by, Lake William C Bowen is a close by lake, and after a long day outdoors Spartanburg Days Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Steppes Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime                  lows sink down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Steppes Pond. Lots of people from Spartanburg come to Steppes Pond, and get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Green River. This lake is so wonderful.
