Snyder Pond is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Rainbow RV Park, and lakes are such calm spots, why not go to Swan Lake. Paddling on Saluda River is so much fun, and as expected Little Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth going to. Snyder Pond gets a large amount of water; during March this area sees the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Snyder Pond you can make out

The Flowermill RV Park
 | we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time. ...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |
Saluda River
 | 3/31/2007 This was a nice trip. Put in behind Riverside Tavern on Hwy124, went to Hwy86 in Piedmont. Only scratched the boats a couple times in the few small rapid areas. You will have to paddle about the last 4 or 5 miles due to the back water from the Piedmont dam. Trip took 5.5 hours at this time of the year with good flow in the river. I expected it to take much longer and paddled a bit every now and then. Some fallen trees but no problem going right thru them. Will defiantly go again for a relaxing day on the river. ... |
