This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Cedar Shoals Creek is so much fun, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Clinton. High temperatures at Smiths Pond during the summertime months are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's, and nighttime       lows through the wintertime for Smiths Pond tend to be in the 20's. Smiths Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Kinards Koa Kampground is a good place to camp nearby, and Hampton Inn Suites Clinton I26 is a good spot to get some rest. Not far from Smiths Pond, you'll hit upon Bedenbaugh Pond Number One which is a beautiful lake; people from Newberry love to come here. Smiths Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; March is when you                  get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is October.
