The beauty of Smiths Pond is reason enough to stop by. Summertime highs at Smiths Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Smiths Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Smiths Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls all through March, and September is the month with the least moisture. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Reedy River, and if you're popping by from Greenville, you won't
be the only one. A good close by hotel is Microtel Inn Greenville Airport Pelham Road, and Oak Grove Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. This lake is so wonderful. You should absolutely visit Horseshoe Bend if you're here at Smiths Pond, and if you're here, you could also stop by pretty J P Stevens Pond.

The Flowermill RV Park
 | we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.
...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |
