If the weather is perfect here at Smith Pond, you can go for a hike along the Burrells Ford Trail, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Cedar Creek. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chauga River, and since you're here, you could also go to delightful Adams Pond. You'll wish for more hours       in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Smith Pond. Some of the water close by flows, like Little Toxaway Creek; camping at Yellow Branch Campground is always a magnificent experience. Scaly Mountain is a pleasant local ski area; Smith Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Cassidy Bridge Campground is a good local campground. While you're here at Smith Pond you can take a hike along the Bartram Trail, and Knights Inn Toccoa is a magnificent site                  to get some rest. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Chattooga Trail, and the panorama of Grassy Mountain is scenic. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Smith Pond. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Smith Pond. The high level of precipitation makes Smith Pond a quite wet site; March is the wettest month with most rain; October is the month with the least moisture.
