Go to Smith Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. Dry warm beds await you at Chattooga River Resort, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Bartram Trail. Yeah, come here to Smith Pond for a great time. Church Campground is a brilliant campground here, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Chauga River. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are good; Cox Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Smith Pond, and you can hit the slopes at Scaly Mountain nearby. The warmest time of the year at Smith Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two; there's whitewater on Cedar Creek for all you adrenaline people. The high level of precipitation makes Smith Pond a quite wet spot; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest
of the months is October.
Little Toxaway Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Chattooga Trail.
