If you are in Horry county it's always a good idea to stop by Smith Pond. For the duration of the months of summer at Smith Pond temperatures are regularly in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 50's; through the dark hours in the winter at Smith Pond temperatures descend to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Sleep Inn Conway is a good location to get some rest, and if you're here and you like golf, you can stop at Conway Golf Club. All the water falling down from the sky makes Smith Pond a wet spot; July is the month that gets the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. Camping is available at Williamson's Lake Park, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Conway(Myrtle Beach Area), Sc is a nice site to spend a night or two.
