The warmest time of the year at Slade Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Slade Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A fine close by hotel is Sleep Inn North Augusta. There's so much to do here at Slade Lake that you need to camp       here for a while, Lick Fork Campground is a perfect location for that. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Horn Creek Hiking Trail, and float down the rapids of Savannah River in a kayak. Any time is a good time at Slade Lake if you go for the outdoors. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stevens Creek. Guesthouse Intl Aiken is a fine site to get some rest, and the good folks of Augusta-Richmond County like to hang out nearby. Take a hike on the Turkey                  Creek Hiking Trail; if you came to camp Forks Campground is a good location to do that.
