Berry Shoals Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore, and paddling on South Tyger River is so much fun. Dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inns. There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Creekside RV Park is a good location for that.

Silver Lake is a rather wet place typically with a good deal of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while April is typically the driest month.
