Shimmys Pond is a lake worth visiting. Summertime at Shimmys Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 50's, and night lows in the 20's for Shimmys Pond. A good nearby hotel is Ramada Plazas, Limiteds, And Inns, and why not a little side tour to Crane Creek. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Columbia Reservoir is a wonderful location to check out. But wait, there's more to do close to Shimmys Pond. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Saluda River; do explore Saluda Terrace Gardens Pond, it's a delightful lake. Shimmys Pond is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Sesquicentennial State Park is a perfect site to camp nearby, and there's whitewater on Broad River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.

with the most rain, and November on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Shimmys Pond has to offer, you can camp at Capital City Campground, and Columbia Water Reservoir Dam is a lovely place, positively worth checking out.
