Flag Pond Branch flows through this vicinity, and why not camp at Landsford Canal State Park since you're here at Sherrells Pond. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Jameson Inns is a splendid place to get some rest, and a glorious spot for whitewater paddling is Catawba River. A lake nearby is Culp Lake; the fine people of Lancaster like to hang out nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day       outdoors Lancaster Inn is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two, and a tremendous location to camp here at Sherrells Pond is Andrew Jackson State Park. Sherrells Pond ordinarily gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. At Sherrells Pond throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's.
