South Carolina has many beautiful lakes and Shaws Pond is one of them. Here at Shaws Pond there are plenty of people from Sumter; a quick visit to Broad Branch is certainly a tremendous idea. Shaws Pond is a wet site that gets a large amount of precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here, and April is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. | | a night or two. There's so much to do here at Shaws Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lee state Natural Area is a wonderful site for that.
All through the warmest time of the year at Shaws Pond temperatures are regularly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Shaws Pond are in the 30's. Econo Lodge Bishopville is a fine place to get some rest; you can stay the night at Camp In The Pines.
