This lake is so wonderful. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Rocky River; getting to East Beards Creek from Secession Lake is easy. You'll meet a lot of people from Anderson here. If you need a site to stay Hilltop Motel is a wonderful choice, and Secession Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Calhoun Falls State Recreation Area is a pleasant local campground. The warmest time of the       year brings highs in the 90's to Secession Lake, and the overnight is a little colder of course, commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's while Secession Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. Much rainfall falls at Secession Lake; March is the wettest month with most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
