All through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 90's at Scotts Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are generally in the 50's, and overnight lows during the winter for Scotts Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps don’t sound that perfect but Doctor Bay near Scotts Lake is relatively perfect, and why not spend some time       golfing at a close by golf course like Lake Marion Golf Course. All the water falling down from the sky makes Scotts Lake a wet place; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and November meanwhile is the driest month. There's so much to do here at Scotts Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big water Lake Club and Campground is a perfect location for that; after a long day outdoors Best Western Santee                  is a good location to spend a night or two. Stay the night at Jack's Creek Marina, and a nice close by hotel is Quality Inn & Suites.
