Having a pleasant time at Roland Lake is uncomplicated. There's whitewater on Broad River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Savany Hunt Creek. Stay the night at Sesquicentennial State Park; while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Columbia. If time allows, Congaree Swamp National Monument is a national park worth checking out, and Jackson       Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest. Throughout the summer here at Roland Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 90's while overnight lows are generally in the 70's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 50's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Roland Lake dip into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Roland Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Capital City Campground is a wonderful location for that; you can make out Green Hill Mound from Roland Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Big Goose Pond is near Roland Lake; get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Saluda River.
