    A visit to Rochester Lake Number One is always a good idea. Rochester Lake Number One is a rather wet place typically with a good deal of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is April. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Whitewater Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Scaly Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Rochester  
   Lake Number One, you'll hit upon Whitewater Lake which is a wonderful lake.
For the period of the days of summer here at Rochester Lake Number One, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Rochester Lake Number One tend to be in the 20's. This is no place for people who don’t like to have
 
               fun. Good hiking is available along the Foothills Trail, and Rochester Lake Number One is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Burrel Place Campground is a magnificent local campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flat Shoal River, and do stop by Burgess Creek while you're here at Rochester Lake Number One.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inn Seneca, and camping at Oconee Station state Historic Site is always a great experience. Go for a hike on the Winding Stairs Trail, and Sapphire Valley Resort is a glorious place to get some rest. If you're dropping by Rochester Lake Number One from Seneca, you won't be the only one, and there's whitewater on Little River - North Fork for all you adrenaline people.
