A visit to Congaree Swamp National Monument is worthwhile, and the cheerful people of Orangeburg like to hang out nearby. The high level of precipitation makes Reid Pond a quite wet location; July is when you get the most rain here, and November is when it's the driest. It's a tremendous idea to check out Lyons Creek, it's near Reid Pond, and if you need a place to stay Fairfield Inn is       a splendid choice. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn By Marriott Orangeburg is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Reid Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mountaineer Motel is a magnificent place for that. What a place this is for outdoors folks. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Reid Pond has to offer, you can camp at Stumphole Landing. Lakes are brilliant; Shehane Cabin Pond is a lake                  that's near Reid Pond. For the duration of the months of summer at Reid Pond highs are commonly in the 90's, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, mostly in the 60's.
