Rast Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. At Rast Pond you always meet someone from Columbia. Visit Rock Branch if you're here at Rast Pond, and do stop at Culclosure Pond, it's a pretty lake. Rast Pond is a rather wet place usually with a large amount of rain; July is the wettest month with most rain; October is when it's the driest. A splendid spot to camp here at Rast Pond is Wheat water Lake Campground,

| | and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Broad River. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Sesquicentennial State Park while you're here at Rast Pond, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Orangeburg, Sc is a good place to spend a night or two. 50's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Rast Pond temperatures dip to the 30's. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn, and a spree to Congaree Swamp National Monument is worthwhile.
