The Horn Creek Hiking Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Rainsford Pond; near Rainsford Pond you discover a golf course called Mount Vintage Plantation Golf Club. Gilroy Branch is a splendid local stream; Rainsford Pond is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Lick Fork Campground is a magnificent site to camp nearby. During the warmest       time of the year at Rainsford Pond highs are generally in the 90's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's; nighttime lows during the winter for Rainsford Pond tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Forks Campground, and close by you stumble on the Turkey Creek Hiking Trail which is a glorious hiking trail.
