After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge St. Stephens is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Turkey Walk Trail. Raccoon Pond is a great location to visit for more than one day, KOA Kampgrounds is a great location to camp nearby; hiking along the Jerico Horse Trail is good fun. High temperatures at Raccoon Pond through the warm days of summer are in the 90's       while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and overnight lows at Raccoon Pond during the winter frequently plunge into the 30's. So much amusing stuff to do here at Raccoon Pond, too pleasant to be true. This lake is so wonderful. Cooks Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit, and a nice nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Moncks Corner, Sc. A brilliant swamp right next door to                  Raccoon Pond is Boar Bay, and going for a hike along the Swamp Fox Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
