If you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Woodfin Ridge Golf Club; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Spartanburg is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. Camping is available at Cunningham RV Park, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Spartanburg. A wonderful close by hotel is Spartanburg - Days Inn Waccamaw; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always       check out nearby Lake William C Bowen. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. Get wet paddling on South Tyger River, and why not camp at Creekside RV Park while you're here at R Milliken Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from R Milliken Pond, you'll hit upon Lake Bowen which is a striking lake, and whitewater paddling is great on Middle Tyger River. Lots of rain falls at R Milliken Pond; during March this area sees the most                  rain; the driest month of the year is April. For the period of the summer months at R Milliken Pond temperatures are generally in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's.
