The beauty of Poplar Lake is reason enough to stop by. Get yourself into a kayak and hit North Saluda River, and you can take a little trip to Chinquapin Lake Dam since you're here at Poplar Lake. At Poplar Lake during the summertime highs are in the 80's; the overnight is fairly colder of course, generally in the 60's. Lake which is a lovely lake, and of course Short Branch is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to run into some great people from Greenville here; camping is available at Holly Hill RV Park.
