Some of the water nearby flows, like Beckham Branch, and you can run the rapids of Catawba River. Through the summertime here at Pool J, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Pool J. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Super 8       Lancaster is a nice choice, and if you came to camp Wateree Lake Campground is a magnificent spot to do that. During your journey to Pool J you'll meet some folks from Lancaster for sure, and Pool J is not the only site close by, Sunrise Lake is a close by lake. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Pool J. Camping at Cane Creek Park is always a nice experience. Pool J is a reasonably wet place regularly with a great deal of precipitation;                  March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is April.
