Poinsett State Park Lake commonly gets much rainfall; during July this area sees the most rain; November is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors Sharolyn Motel is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and Poinsett state Park is a magnificent campground here. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Sumter here at Poinsett State Park Lake, and Poinsett State Park Lake is a splendid       site to camp, Elliott's Landing and Campground is a splendid site. Lakes are fine; Brushtop Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Poinsett State Park Lake, and if you have time, Congaree Swamp National Monument is a national park worth visiting.
