Pinewood Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. A magnificent close by hotel is Candlewood Suites COLUMBIA-FT. JACKSON, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Saluda River. Man, is there heaps of entertaining things to do near Pinewood Lake. There's always Lake Trotwood Dam to stop at in close proximity to Pinewood Lake, and get soaked paddling on Broad River. Pinewood Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is November. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Congaree Swamp National Monument is a very nice site to stop at near Pinewood Lake, and Goose Branch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out.

Lake is good fun, Capital City Campground is a good local campground, and Sedgewood Country Club is a perfect golf course nearby. Throughout the days of summer here at Pinewood Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 90's,
and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Pinewood Lake dip into the 20's. A gorgeous lake like Captain Jims Pond close
to Pinewood Lake is a splendid spot to stop at, and why not camp at Sesquicentennial State Park if you're here at Pinewood Lake.
