At Pinewood Lake all through the days       of summer highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Pinewood Lake plunge into the 20's. Goose Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, and camping is available at Capital City Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Pinewood Lake is a spot with many visitors from Columbia, and                  get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Broad River. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff next to Pinewood Lake. A good place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Pinewood Lake is Saluda River, and Congaree Swamp National Monument is one of the destinations that are wonderful to have a look at close by. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Pinewood Lake you can play some golf at Sedgewood Country Club. Camping at Sesquicentennial State Park is always a great experience, and of course, this is a good neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Caughmans Pond is a lake in the vicinity.
