You'll need more than a day to explore everything Phillips Lake has to offer, you can camp at Caesars Head State Park, and if the weather is beautiful, you obtain a tremendous vista of Alexander Hill from Phillips Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful nearby hotel is A Nice Little Motel, and you can stay the night at Palmetto Cove. Laurel Mountain Inn is a good place to get some rest; float       down the rapids of South Saluda River in a kayak. Summertime at Phillips Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Phillips Lake. Don't forget to take a great little tour to Gowens Creek; you're sure to come across some wonderful folks from Brevard here. There's just no way somebody can                  get bored here at Phillips Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Garren Lake; the Mullinax Trail is a good hiking trail close by.
