Many people like to go to Peters Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cedar Creek. There's so much to do here at Peters Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Church Campground is a good site for that. You could also stop by Coneross Creek Reservoir if you're here at Peters Pond; it's nearby; golf can be played at Oconee Country Club. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Peters Pond get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Peters Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The high level of rain makes Peters Pond a reasonably wet location; most of the rain falls through March; October on the other hand is the driest. There is a good hiking trail next to Peters Pond called the Chattooga
Trail, and if you need a site to stay Seneca-Days Inn Clemson is a glorious choice. If the weather is good here at Peters Pond, you can go for a hike along the Winding Stairs Trail, and it's a great idea to explore Negro Fork.
This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Scaly Mountain; if you came to camp Keowee Falls RV Park is a perfect place to do that.
