There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Broad River. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Tyger River, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Newberry-Days Inn. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Parrs Pond has to offer, you can camp at Kinards Koa Kampground, and the good folks of Newberry like to hang out nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Parrs Pond that you need       to camp here for a while, Brick House Campground is a fine place for that, and if you need a place to stay Quality Inn Newberry is a tremendous choice. The high level of rain makes Parrs Pond a quite wet location; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is November. For the duration of the days of summer at Parrs Pond highs are mostly in the 90's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's.
