Pace Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. This is a good area for people who like lakes. Jamason Pond is a lake in the vicinity, and a golf course nearby is Rolling Green Golf Club. Through the warmest time of the year here at Pace Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Pace Pond nighttime low temperatures

| | throughout the winter are in the 20's. Burdine Creek is a perfect location to explore, and camping is available at Ivy Acres RV Park.
Why not camp at Paris Mountain State Park while you're here at Pace Pond. Having a great time at Pace Pond is trouble-free. If you're visiting Pace Pond from Greenville, you won't be the only one, and if you come at the right time of year, North Saluda River offers some good whitewater. This was a nice trip. Put in behind Riverside Tavern on Hwy124, went to Hwy86 in Piedmont. Only scratched the boats a couple times in the few small rapid areas. You will have to paddle about the last 4 or 5 miles due to the back water from the Piedmont dam. Trip took 5.5 hours at this time of the year with good flow in the river. I expected it to take much longer and paddled a bit every now and then. Some fallen trees but no problem going right thru them. Will defiantly go again for a relaxing day on the river. ... |

we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.
...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |
