Take a little trip to Bee Branch while you're here at Oliver Pond, and you can stay the night at Columbia/camden RV Park. If you come at the right time of year, Catawba River offers some wonderful whitewater; Ridgeway Campgrounds is a tremendous campground here. Oliver Pond gets a good deal of water; through the month of July you get the most rain around here; April is when it's the driest. This       lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Economy Inn, and a picturesque lake like Bowens Number Three Pond is a nice site to check out. High temperatures at Oliver Pond through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's; the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, typically in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 50's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Oliver Pond. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. For you golfers                  we recommend close by Green Hill Golf Club.
