All through the warm days of summer highs here at Old River get into the 90's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Old River. Old River sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while November is mostly       the driest month. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Old River. Boggy Branch is a great local stream, and Little Pee Dee State Park is a great campground here. If you're here at Old River and you like golf, you can stop at Pineland Country Club; Old River is a splendid spot to camp, Lumber River Campground and Trail Rides is a splendid spot. This lake is so wonderful. If you're going to Old River from Dillon, you won't be the only one, and                  swamps don’t sound that delightful but Crosstie Lake in close proximity to Old River is pretty delightful. Dry warm beds await you at Websters Manor; a lake nearby is Brushy Lake. Not far from Old River you stumble on Rice Field Cove.
