There's so much to do here at Old Heises Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sesquicentennial State Park is a pleasant spot for that. Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Broad River, and playing golf is lots of fun at Sedgewood Country Club. Congaree       Swamp National Monument is a nice local destination here at Old Heises Pond; Old Heises Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Capital City Campground is a tremendous local campground. The high level of precipitation makes Old Heises Pond a rather wet location; the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is November. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Old Heises Pond                  you obtain some perfect water scenery at Lake Trotwood Dam, and there are other places here than Old Heises Pond, for example Lower Twin Lake.
