After a long day outdoors Americas Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at New Millpond that you need to camp here for a while, Elliott's Landing and Campground is a tremendous place for that. At New Millpond all through the warm months highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with       temperatures at New Millpond dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. The high level of precipitation makes New Millpond a pretty wet place; July is when you get the most rain here, and November meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Beech Creek Country Club is a splendid way to kill some time, and as expected Hatchet Camp Branch flows through this area. Having a great time at New Millpond is painless. While                  you're here at New Millpond you will meet lots of people from close by Sumter; dry warm beds await you at Sharolyn Motel. There are swamps here too; Old Millpond is in close proximity.
