A good nearby hotel is Seneca-Days Inn Clemson; why not take a refreshing hike along the Winding Stairs Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Negro Fork Reservoir; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Negro Fork Reservoir  
   temperatures sink to the 20's. Negro Fork Reservoir regularly gets much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally March, that's the one that rains the most while October is regularly the driest month.

In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chauga River; you'll meet a lot of folks from Seneca here. This lake is so wonderful. Cedar Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby; if you need a location to stay Jameson Inn Seneca is a good choice. Some close by water includes Negro Fork, and since you're here, you could also take a look at beautiful Peters Pond.
Coneross Creek Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit. There's so much to do here at Negro Fork Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Crooked Creek Rv Park is a splendid place for that.
