You'll hit upon a pretty lake called Lake Leroy near Mountain Rest Lake, and       the Three Forks Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a perfect choice; great hiking is available along the Burrells Ford Trail. Throughout the warm months at Mountain Rest Lake highs are frequently in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows all through the winter for Mountain Rest Lake tend                  to be in the 20's. There are plenty of people from Seneca here at Mountain Rest Lake, and a nice nearby hotel is Hampton Inn Highlands NC. Nearby Callas Gap is a great location to go if you're at Mountain Rest Lake, and hey, East Village Creek is a great local stream. If you come at the right time of year, Chattooga River offers some brilliant whitewater, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Scaly Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful lake like Mountain Rest Lake close to Mountain Rest Lake is a tremendous site to pop by, and a splendid site to camp here at Mountain Rest Lake is Cherry Hill.
