Mountain Rest Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Mountain Rest Lake, you could also go to scenic Chattooga Lake, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Seneca here. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too fine to be true. Dry warm beds await you at Chattooga River Resort, and whitewater paddling       is delightful on Chattooga River. The slopes of Scaly Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and nearby you discover Callas Gap which is a delightful place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Sky Valley is a great place to do that; you can observe Callas Mountain from Mountain Rest Lake. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Mountain Rest Lake. Man, is there lots of amusing things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains.                  If you need a location to stay Kelsey & Hutcinson Ldg is a perfect choice, and splendid hiking is available along the Three Forks Trail. Going for a hike on the Burrells Ford Trail is always a nice adventure, and Mountain Rest Lake is a tremendous location to camp, Yellow Branch Campground is a tremendous location. Any time is a tremendous time at Mountain Rest Lake if you like the outdoors. Why not stop at nearby East Village Creek if you're here at Mountain Rest Lake, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chauga River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mountain Rest Lake has to offer, you can camp at Burrells Ford Campground; you can go for a hike on the Winding Stairs Trail. Mountain Rest Lake is a wet site that gets a good deal of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is April. High temperatures at Mountain Rest Lake through the days of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's.
