Mountain Rest Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally March, that's the one that rains the most; April on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. During your tour to Mountain Rest Lake you'll meet some folks from Seneca for sure; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Scaly Mountain is quite near. This spot is so good, just look at all the       entertaining things to do in the vicinity of Mountain Rest Lake. Mountain Rest Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. For the duration of the summer highs here at Mountain Rest Lake get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Mountain Rest Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the                  Blue Ridge Mountains. Kelsey & Hutcinson Ldg is a glorious place to get some rest, and Chattooga River is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Near Mountain Rest Lake you come across the Three Forks Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and you'll discover a lovely lake called Chattooga Lake. Callas Gap is close to Mountain Rest Lake and is positively a pleasant place to visit, and if you came for an overnight stay Yellow Branch Campground is a delightful site to camp. From Mountain Rest Lake you get a wonderful view of Callas Mountain, and the Burrells Ford Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. So many cool things to do at Mountain Rest Lake, so little time. Don't forget to take a delightful little journey to Holden Branch; if you need a spot to stay Chattooga River Resort is a great choice. You clearly ought to fancy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sky Valley is a good local ski area; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Winding Stairs Trail.
