Many people like to go to Moores Pond. Get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Broad River; Courtyard By Marriott Columbia Northeast is a brilliant place to get some rest. Moores Pond is a relatively wet place usually with much rain; through March this area sees the most rain, and November is the month with the least moisture.
Congaree Swamp National Monument is a delightful national park, and hey, Cumbess Creek is a glorious local stream.

| | There's so much to do here at Moores Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Capital City Campground is a great location for that, and at Moores Pond you always meet someone from Columbia. All through the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 90's at Moores Pond, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Moores Pond.

Moores Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sesquicentennial State Park is a great local campground, and playing golf is lots of fun at Northwoods Golf Club. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A nice location
for whitewater paddling near Moores Pond is Saluda River; a brilliant nearby hotel is Residence Inn by Marriott Columbia Northeast.
