But wait, there's more to do close to Moccasin Pond. While you're here at Moccasin Pond you can take a hike along the Swamp Fox Trail, and camping is available at No 1 Camps. After a long day outdoors Wild Dunes Resort is a fine place to spend a night or two;       a journey to Fort Moultrie National Monument is recommended. The warmest time of the year at Moccasin Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 50's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Moccasin Pond dip into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not explore Big Pond near Moccasin Pond, and Northeast Point is                  very near and is a perfect place to stop at. Moccasin Pond is a relatively wet place generally with a lot of rainfall; July is when you get the most rain here, and November meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Turkey Walk Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; camping at KOA Kampgrounds is always a great experience.
