Sunview Lake is a great lake near Mims Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mims Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pine Lakes Campgrounds. Much rainfall falls at Mims Lake; most of the rain falls throughout March, and April is the month with the least moisture. There are other places here than Mims Lake, for example McCorkle Pond; in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can       always go whitewater paddling on Catawba River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors TownePlace Suites Rock Hill is a nice place to spend a night or two, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Regent Park Golf Club is in the vicinity. Summertime highs at Mims Lake typically tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 50's, and through the dark                  hours in the wintertime at Mims Lake temperatures drop to the 20's.
