Milliken Lake is a wet spot that gets a lot of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is April. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Spartanburg - Days Inn Waccamaw is a great site to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Milliken Lake has to offer, you can camp at Creekside RV Park. Why not check out Sloans Meadow Creek Dam       while you're here, and why not pop by close by Turkey Creek since you're here at Milliken Lake. You'll come across a scenic lake called Lake William C Bowen near Milliken Lake, and if you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Spartanburg is a good choice. If you come at the right time of year, Middle Tyger River offers some tremendous whitewater; you can stay the night at Cunningham RV Park. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on South Tyger River, and do take                  a look at Lake Bowen, it's a gorgeous lake. At Milliken Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Milliken Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Milliken Lake. Here at Milliken Lake you'll in all probability meet some folks from Spartanburg; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Woodfin Ridge Golf Club.
