There's whitewater on Matthews Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and Methodist Pond is not the only site nearby, Lawton Lake is a nearby       lake. This lake is so wonderful. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Mullinax Trail; here at Methodist Pond you can observe Bald Rock. Summertime highs at Methodist Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Methodist Pond. Going for a hike along the Black Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.                  This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Methodist Pond, checking out Raven Cliff is a must, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is plentiful here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Methodist Pond is not far at all from Brevard, and camping at Palmetto Cove is always a fine experience. Matthews Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Brevard. You can run the rapids of South Saluda River near Methodist Pond, and camping is available at Caesars Head State Park.
