Duke Power Dam is delightful and it's near McMahons Mill Pond, and while you're here and you like golf, you can explore Oconee Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Flat Shoal River, and going                  for a hike on the Foothills Trail is always a magnificent adventure.
