Summertime brings highs in the 80's to McCray Lake. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 50's, and nighttime lows during the winter for McCray Lake tend to be in the 30's. Brunson Swamp       is a pretty stream that is worth a visit; if you're visiting from Sumter, you won't be the only one. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do next to McCray Lake. Sleep Inn Sumter is a tremendous place to get some rest, and McCray Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Elliott's Landing and Campground is a splendid local campground. McCray Lake mostly gets a large amount of precipitation;                  July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is November. This lake is so wonderful.
