This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at McCalls Millpond that you need to camp here for a while, Cheraw State Recreation Area is a glorious place for that; swing by Herndon Branch it's a fine place to take a look at. You could also visit Davids Millpond while you're here at McCalls Millpond; it's close by, and if       you came to camp Hide-Out Campground and Riding Stables is a fine spot to do that. The high level of rain makes McCalls Millpond a quite wet place; throughout July this area sees the most rain; November is when it's the driest. McCalls Millpond is not the only place close by, McCalls Millpond is a close by lake; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Cheraw is a great place to spend a night or two. During the summertime, highs regularly are in the 90's at McCalls                  Millpond with nighttime lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at McCalls Millpond are in the 20's.
