That right there is loads already, but it continues; Mathis Lake has it all. Here at Mathis Lake you'll most likely meet some people from Augusta-Richmond County, and whitewater paddling is nice on Savannah River. Camping is available at Flynn's Inn Camping Village; lakes are such serene spots, why not have a look at Laurel Lake. A lot of rainfall falls at Mathis Lake; March is when       you get the most rain here while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Mathis Lake without first going for a hike along the Horn Creek Hiking Trail, and a charming lake like Howards Pond is a perfect spot to stop by. An afternoon playing golf at Midland Valley Golf Club is always a pleasure, and camping at Betty's RV and Trailer Court is always a great experience. Good hiking is available along the Turkey Creek Hiking Trail; if you need a place to stay Lookaway and Rosemary Halls is a tremendous choice. For the duration of the summer, highs commonly are in the 90's at Mathis Lake; the night is somewhat chillier of course, commonly in the 60's.
