Martin Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall; throughout March this area sees the most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. Martin Lake in fact is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. During your visit to Martin Lake you'll meet some folks from Gaffney for sure. Lakes?       Sure, Hammett Lake is nearby. There are some great whitewater spots on Lawsons Fork Creek; if you came to camp Pinecone Campground is a magnificent site to do that. Throughout the long summer days here at Martin Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, generally                  in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Martin Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
