The high level of rain makes Maple Pond a relatively wet place; March is when you get the most rain here, and April is the month with the least moisture. Man, is there heaps of fun things to do near Maple Pond. A lake nearby is Rock Spring Pond, and dry warm beds await       you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SPARTANBURG-NORTH. Throughout the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Maple Pond; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are regularly in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Maple Pond drop into the 20's. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pacolet, and near Maple Pond you find a golf                  course called Oak Ridge Country Club. You could also stop at White Pines Lake while you're here at Maple Pond; it's nearby. Marriott Spartanburg Renaissance Park is a great site to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Maple Pond has to offer, you can camp at Croft state Natural Area. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid place for whitewater paddling close to Maple Pond is Lawsons Fork Creek.
